A lesson that stayed with me from one panel discussion was simple: Be consistent in delivering results. If language is your superpower; USE IT! If advocacy, opinion writing or research is your superpower; USE IT!

As women, we can sometimes downplay our abilities or the role we played in achieving something. But there is power in owning your contribution. Don’t say “I facilitated” when you led. Don’t hide the skill that makes you different. And don’t be afraid to showcase what you bring to the table - even when it feels uncomfortable.

Your work will speak for you, but you also have to be willing to speak about your work.

It’s been a wonderful experience learning from the experience and expertise of powerful women and men. I leave here empowered knowing that I really can do anything I set my mind to and I’m even more confident in my ability to lead and make impact, however small it may seem. Thank you to IAWL team for the excellent coordination and I look forward to the next 6 months

This training been a source of light and a breath of fresh air at a time when the profession was becoming dark and stifling to me.
