Gender Equality in Law Campaign

GELC is a pan-African initiative that calls on legal institutions to commit to gender equality through concrete actions. The campaign mobilizes bar associations, judiciaries, law schools, and civil society to adopt policies, track progress, and create lasting change in the legal profession.

GELC (African Union OLC)

At the AU Office of the Legal Counsel, GELC brought together key stakeholders to champion gender-responsive legal reform. Through dialogue and policy engagement, the initiative laid the groundwork for institutional commitments to gender equality across AU legal bodies.
